Refund and Substitutions Policy
You may withdraw from a course in writing (via email to registration@njaes.rutgers.edu) up to 5 business days before the class begins and receive a full refund, less a $300.00 processing fee. If you do not do so, you may be responsible for the full registration fee.
Substitutions are welcomed for the Three-Week course only.
How Refunds are Processed:
- Credit Card Payments: A refund will be issued back to the same credit card. Please allow up to 72 hours for the refund to appear on your statement.
- Check, Cash, or Money Order Payments: A refund will be issued by check to the individual who made the original payment. Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your payment.
Partial Refunds for Two-Year Certificate Students
If you must drop out after the course begins, there are partial refund options available until the fifth week of class (see student handbook for details). In the event that this happens, you will need to work directly with the Program Coordinator to find out your refund amount and the steps to proceed with this option.
COVID-19 Policy (Two-Year Certificate Program Only)
The Office of Continuing Education and the Professional Golf Turf Management School must abide by Rutgers University COVID Policies, including Section 60.1.36, which states:
- All University Affiliates (“program participants”) must provide proof of COVID-19 Immunization or provide a negative COVID-19 PCR or lab-processed antigen test meeting requirements of this Policy. In the event that a regular/recurring COVID-19 vaccine becomes recommended by the CDC (similar to an annual flu shot), this Policy makes such regular/recurring vaccination or negative COVID-19 PCR or lab-processed antigen test mandatory for the individuals referenced above.
- If an individual is going to be on campus for more than seven consecutive days due to the nature of their affiliation with the University, then a negative PCR test or lab-processed antigen test must be provided at commencement of the activity and then provided weekly after the initial PCR or lab-processed antigen test.
Physical vaccination card and/or negative COVID-19 PCR or lab-processed antigen test and a valid photo ID will need to be presented at the door before classes begin.
To ensure adequate time for an immune response to occur, a person is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completion of a two-dose mRNA series (Pfizer or Moderna) or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
For those submitting to the required weekly testing, you will also need to provide the required form of proof of a negative test every Monday before the first class of the day for every proceeding week of the program.

Grading Policy and Graduation Requirements (Two-Year Certificate Program Only)
Student performance is evaluated in each class based on a combination of examinations, term papers, projects, attendance, and class participation. Certificates are awarded to all students who successfully complete both semesters of class work, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and successfully complete a field internship.
