In the customer-focused sales strategies course previewed above, sales professionals will learn how to develop a partnership with their potential customers in order to improve and grow sales. The Workforce Development Unit at the Rutgers Office of Continuing Professional Education (OCPE) has successfully helped hundreds of NJ employers offer training to their staff through NJ Department of Labor (DOL) grants. This training course for sales representatives can be modified to suit the needs and initiatives of any organization that sells products or services, and participants may be eligible to attend grant funded training to develop their sales skills for no out-of-pocket expense! This sales tactics training course can also be combined with other course offerings and tailored into a customized program that fulfills your specific corporate training needs.

To receive DOL workforce training grant funding, your company must be NJ-based and free of any state tax liabilities. The qualification process takes about 5 minutes and requires very basic company information such as name, address and FEIN number.

About Marian Janes, Sales Strategies Training Instructor

Marian Janes has over twenty-five years of corporate experience managing complex projects, establishing and maintaining critical relationships, and providing education to sales reps, service reps, employees, and customers. One of her most significant accomplishments was creating and implementing a corporate university and learning center for a large company.

In her role as an instructor with OCPE's workforce development unit, Marian shares her knowledge and expertise to help organizations and individuals grow and succeed in varied business and professional environments. She focuses on helping students discover and apply their potential, establish positive connections, embrace change, and connect with opportunity.

Marian completed a certification in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance from Rutgers University and is also an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. She holds a Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University and currently serves as the VP of Programs for the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the Association for Talent Development.
