Learn the Science Behind Gardening at Home Gardeners School

The Rutgers Home Gardeners School, held every March, brings together a wide range of gardening, landscaping, and horticulture experts from throughout the state to share their knowledge and expertise. With over 35 workshops, participants can learn about a range of topics - from lawn care to trees, vegetable gardens, container gardens and terrariums - all in one day! This video snapshot of Home Gardeners School features advice on what size garden to plant and how much fertilizer and plant food to use. You'll also find tips on how to be a better beginner gardener, why a soil test is so important and why you should never throw away your seed packets.
