Eastern Regional Radon Training CenterRadon and Indoor Air Quality TrainingThe Eastern Regional Radon Training Center (ERRTC) at Rutgers University is one of four Regional Radon Training Centers established in 1989 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Our mission is to provide training regarding health risks posed by radon and other indoor environmental hazards and to demonstrate methods of radon measurement and mitigation in residential, institutional, and commercial environments. ERRTC collaborates with EPA, state radon program units, industry, our Regional Training Center colleagues and national certifying bodies, to create and delivery high-value and high-quality programs and outreach services in the science and business of radon measurement and mitigation and Indoor Air Quality. The ERRTC is located at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ within the Office of Continuing Professional Education. In addition to its training programs, the center works closely with the EPA on applied research, demonstration and outreach projects to improve public understanding of radon health risks and to identify the most cost-effective methods to reduce that risk.
