New Plant & Design Classes

Two of our most popular, plant-loving instructors, Bruce Crawford and Steve Kristoph, are leading new classes. Bruces 2-day hands-on Principles and Practice of Landscape Design is taught in the classroom AND in the field at the Grounds for Sculpture to help you better visualize design possibilities. Steve and Bruce also collaborated to create a new 1-day class on Low Maintenance Plants: Woody and Herbaceous.

New 2-day Beds and Borders Class Format

Bruce Neary's popular class was reformatted last year to make the program more accessible by condensing 7 half-day sessions into 2 full, informative days. See why attendees say awesome things about Bruce Neary:

"One of the best instructor I have had in my years of attending OCPE seminar/classes"

"Dynamic speaker, very use full information"

New Format and Content in Snow & Ice Removal

This class was redesigned in 2006 to create separate tracks for private contractors and public managers. This year, we have added new topics in legal and contracting issues. Take this class before the next big snow storm hits!

New Focus/Format for Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

This class has been revised to focus more directly on ornamental plant care and eliminate turf discussions. You may take Day 1 only to learn IPM fundamentals and fulfill the Landscape Management Certificate Program "core" class requirement for IPM. Or you may take all 3 days for deeper skills.
