NJ Health Care Talent Network -
2014 Industry Week Kickoff

The mission of the New Jersey Health Care Talent Network (NJHCTN) is to bring together the key stakeholders affecting New Jersey’s health care workforce. The NJHCTN serves as a comprehensive resource for employers, individual job seekers, education and workforce development providers. The NJHCTN works to align health care talent with the changing demands of this key sector of New Jersey’s economy. This event will focus on the benefits and opportunities for employment, training, and services that the health care industry brings to NJ.

As an employer, the NJHCTN can help you to:

  • Participate in ongoing research conducted by the NJHCTN in order to gain direct communication with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDLWD) leadership and to be a voice in how New Jersey workforce strategy is formed

  • Gain access to personal assistance with grant opportunities for training designed with a focus on your business needs

  • Increase the capacity to place job seekers in health care occupations

  • Access incentives and other state and federal resources

As an attendee, the NJHCTN will provide:

  • Information on jobs, specific requirements and training available in order to become a better health care worker

  • Free fitness testing, blood pressure screenings, and cholesterol screenings

  • Opportunities to network with employers from a variety of health care sectors, including sports medicine and orthopedics

  • Keynote speeches from experts within the medical industry and education

  • Video cast and demonstrations of the latest technologies

Those encouraged to attend include college and high school students, vocational school students, guidance counselors/superintendents, hospitals/FQHC/behavioral health workers, job seekers/career changers, ambulatory centers, nursing home/long term care centers, faith-based organizations, human resources staff, social services, and representatives from One Stop Career Centers.
