About Michael Murphy, Anatomy & Physiology Corporate Trainer

Michael Murphy is a Certified Medical Assistant who teaches a variety of professional development courses for health care professionals on topics such as anatomy and physiology.

In addition to his work with Rutgers OCPE, Michael serves as the Medical Assistant Program Director at Sussex County Community College (SCCC). This is a multi-faceted role that includes responsibility for overall program effectiveness, re-accreditation, curriculum, program assessment, supervising and evaluating students, and more. Prior to securing this position at SCCC, he was the Medical Assistant Program Coordinator at the Berdan Institute, where he continues to teach as a Medical Assistant Instructor.

Michael's background also includes completion of the New Jersey Paramedic Program at Union County Community College and nine years of experience as the Chief of Emergency Medical Services for the Borough of North Arlington. He is a member of the NJ Society of Medical Assistants, where he served on the Board of Trustees from 2007-2010. He is also a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants and participated in the Test Development Task Force in 2007.
