LGBTQIA Sensitivity Workplace Training

LGBTQIA. Lesbian, gay, bi, trans... the Q? I? A? If you're unsure, you're not alone!

In this 2-minute course clip, corporate trainer Annette Brent talks about the impact fear and discrimination have on the healthcare needs of the LGBTQIA community. She also emphasizes the importance of businesses including this population among those they serve.

In the full course, Ms. Brent explains what the letters in LGBTQIA mean and shares the many discriminatory challenges this community faces in order to help participants better relate to a population they may not have previously understood. Students will leave with a new understanding of this underserved population and simple strategies to make their businesses more inclusive and welcoming to LGBTQIA customers, clients, patients, and employees.
