This two and a half day program is designed to introduce the beginners and refresh the professionals on the Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control. Our expert instructors, the professionals who regulate the standards, will equip you with the knowledge of how to coordinate your erosion control plan design with requirements for wetland protection, stream encroachment, stormwater management and New Jersey Best Management Practices (BMPs). Problem solving sessions will provide you with the opportunity to discuss issues with course instructors on actual projects. You are encouraged to email an Adobe PDF file of your project before the course or bring a copy with you to the course for discussion.
This course will also explain how the standards are coordinated with both the New Jersey Department of Community Affair (NJDCA) Uniform Site Improvement Standards and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection regulations - including the Stormwater/Non-Point Source Best Management Practices manual. All participants will receive a copy of the Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control in New Jersey.
