A leaking underground storage tank (UST) can release hundreds of gallons of hazardous petroleum products into groundwater supplies. Because of this danger, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulates USTs and requires the professionals who work on them to be trained and certified. Moreover, the NJDEP has now implemented an aggressive inspection program to identify and enforce UST violations, including the imposition of significant monetary penalties.
If you work on USTs, you need this course! You'll learn the "ABCs" of UST investigation, upgrade and removal, from permits to performance standards to recordkeeping. Whether you're becoming certified for the first time or just need a refresher, we'll give you all the regulatory information you need to meet New Jersey's UST certification requirements and help your clients or employer avoid potential penalty liability.
VALUABLE REFERENCES PROVIDED ON CD-ROM!
Tired of looking through pages and pages of regulations to find the information that you need? Our course materials include valuable references on CD-ROM enabling you to search for just the information you need without having to wade through reams of paper.

Who Should Attend?
New Jersey requires persons and businesses performing services on USTs to be certified by NJDEP and recertified every 3 years. These include: tank owners, consultants, engineers, contractors, health officers, geologists, soil scientists and attorneys. If you are renewing your certification, you must attend a NJDEP- certified course within one year prior to renewal. Persons recertifying must submit an application for renewal and take an approved refresher course. Professional engineers and plumbing contractors, exempt from the certification examination, must attend the course within one year of certification.
