Description

On January 30, 2018, the New Jersey Clean Communities Council will outline the details of its newly funded statewide visual litter survey initiative. The program, led by Steven Stein, the nation’s foremost expert on litter surveys and litter-related studies, will introduce the scope, procedures and processes that will be included in the project. Sandy Huber of the New Jersey Clean Communities Council will introduce the team of professionals that will be supporting the survey and discuss both historical data (i.e., the results of the 2004 state-wide survey) and trends in litter data – both in New Jersey and nationally.

Three one-day “hands-on” follow-up training sessions – one each in the northern, central, and southern parts of the state – will provide attendees with the information and tools that they will need to participate in and report for the 2018 survey, as well as tips and activities for use in their own community-wide litter abatement projects going forward.
