Description

In light of the emphasis on sustainability, Clean Communities program managers who organize cleanups, festivals and fairs have an obligation to go "green." The Clean & Green workshop will demonstrate how to go green, covering topics that include:

  • Designing a litter-free event
  • Handling waste in public places
  • Purchasing "green" products, from tee shirts to food
  • Marketing and promoting the "clean & green" ethic

The course venue - the Ryland Inn, a New Jersey culinary landmark in Whitehouse Station (Hunterdon County) – will also allow for discussions on farm-to-table food and how "good" food can easily be incorporated into events and everyday life.

For more information on the program, please contact the Clean Communities Council at 609-989-5900.
