The Rutgers/NJAES Office of Continuing Education (OCPE) and the NJ Clean Communities Council is offering a two-day safety training course in late spring 2017. The purpose of the course is to provide coordinators with the information they need to organize cleanups that adhere to safety guidelines and to learn how to effectively involve volunteers that may be unfamiliar with applicable safety procedures and regulations. Information on liability and insurance requirements as they relate to field work will also be covered.

All attendees must attend the classroom session of the program on June 13 (at the Rutgers EcoComplex in Bordentown) then select one of two scheduled "hands-on" field training sessions which are scheduled for June 23 (Millville – Cumberland County) OR June 29 (Perth Amboy – Middlesex County). The training course is open to coordinators who are Certified Clean Communities Coordinators and the course can be used for recertification credits

Day One: June 13, 2017 will be held at the Rutgers EcoComplex in Bordentown.

Day Two: Attendees must select one of two scheduled "hands-on" field cleanup sessions listed below.
