Do you know the basic do's and don'ts of safe laboratory work practices? Do you know the right way to handle chemicals, the correct protective equipment to wear or what you should look for on chemical container labels?  If you answered "no" to one or more of these questions, this is the course for you.  This half-day session will introduce you to what you need to know!

Specific topics will include:

    General health and safety principles
    Container labeling and "right-to-know"
    Fire prevention plans
    Personal hygiene/protective gear
    Emergency procedures
    Employee training and recordkeeping
    Lab security issues and procedures.

(0.3 CEU’s / 3 TCHs for water and wastewater)

Water TCHs cover the following licenses:
T, W and VSWS

Wastewater TCHs cover the following licenses:
S, C, N, NS, CN and NN
