You will learn about variable frequency drives (VFDs) and the reasons for their use in starting and controlling motors and other equipment. While mechanical operating systems are still seen, the use of electronic equipment (such as VFDs) is increasing as a way to reduce operating costs.
Topics will include:
· VFD theory, operation and applications
· New installations and startup
· Control status monitoring/VFD fault troubleshooting
· Feedback controls
· Maintaining, servicing and operating VFDs
