This two-day program focuses on the proper operation and maintenance procedures for wastewater collection systems and their component parts. The agenda has been designed to stress proactive methods that will minimize or eliminate the need for reactive or emergency responses. Real-world case studies and examples will be used to reinforce the information presented. The handouts and materials provided will serve as both a great reference in the workplace and as a preparation tool for collection system licensing exams.

Specific topics will include:

  • Components of a collection system;
  • Troubleshooting, investigation and maintenance;
  • Administrative, managerial and regulatory activities;
  • New construction/facility start-up;
  • Pipeline and manhole rehabilitation and repair;
  • Pumping facilities;
  • Proper operating procedures; and
  • Safety.
