Operation & Maintenance Issues for

Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants

Date

June 10-11, 2009
8:30am - 3:45pm

Description

Trying to maintain compliance with permit limits while simultaneously optimizing (or improving) facility performance can prove to be a continuous juggling act!  Both these tasks require a complete understanding of equipment and procedures and the ability to proactively identify weaknesses, problems or “missing links” while getting corrective or beneficial measures ready to implement.  All in a day’s work!  This course will focus on processes, procedures and equipment in use in municipal wastewater treatment facilities– and how to make them better.  Experts in the field will present information on such topics as biological, physical and chemical treatment problems, nutrient removal, equipment troubleshooting, analyses of permit limitations, solids handling...and more!  The program for Day 2 will include panel discussion on “hot” municipal O & M issues.  Don’t miss this unique opportunity!
