We all assume that when we turn on our faucets, clean water will be instantly available – right? What if your neighbor just had some landscape work done and pesticides and fertilizers made their way into your pipes? Or another neighbor’s boiler treatment and clean-up chemicals found their up and down the street? These examples of inadvertent contamination show the critical need for backflow prevention – and this half-day course will introduce you to the basics.

Course instructor Ray Vanisko (who teaches on this topic in our summer-long training course for those seeking to become NJ Health Inspectors and Sanitarians) will show you the wide and varied types of equipment available – and review loads of real life case studies that will really make you think!
