Description

Optimum filter performance is a hot topic - both operationally and legislatively.  This one-day workshop will present a broad overview of all aspects of granular media and gravity filtration. From engineers to operators - learn what you need to know!

Specific topics will include:
·         Design and rehabilitation of new and existing granular media, gravity filters
·         Media selection and design for particle removal
·         Different types of filter operation, instrumentation and control
·         Filter maintenance and troubleshooting for optimum performance
·         Observation of pilot filters in different modes of backwash
·         Examination of various types of underdrain and media

Credits: 6 TCH for water and wastewater operators
