Description

Excessive levels of nutrients in water bodies is rapidly becoming an environmental and public health issue. This hands-on workshop has been developed to serve as an introduction to nutrient management and to the test methods that can be applied in monitoring and control programs. Analyses to be discussed will include those for alkalinity, nitrogen species (total, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite) and phosphorus species (total, reactive or orthophosphorus). The course will combine background and theory with practical, hands-on applications of analytical equipment.
