Description |
Operations personnel face math problems on the job every day. This online training course is designed to build confidence in the understanding of basic mathematics and problem solving for water and wastewater operators. In a relaxed setting, students are encouraged to draw on workplace experience and common sense to improve their basic math skills and to learn to solve math-related problems that occur daily in the workplace.
Course Objectives:
Students will learn how to use formulas and will complete practice problems in the following areas:
- Addition & Subtraction
- Multiplication & Division
- Area/Volume Calculations
- Metric Conversions
- Percentages/Graphs
- Weight/Volume Relationships
- Velocity & Flow Rate Calculations/Conversions
