This program provides timely in-depth information from NJDEP on the Proposed Soil Remediation Standards. This program has been designed to provide a comprehensive review of the technical and scientific basis for the proposed standards for each exposure pathway including ingestion, dermal, inhalation and impact to ground water. The program will review the proposed numeric criteria for each pathway as well as methodologies and requirements for developing Alternative Remediation Standards. For the impact to Ground Water pathway this will include a detailed review of the different methodologies for applying generic numeric criteria for mobile, low mobility and inorganic chemicals as proposed.
In addition, this program will explore potential scientific methodologies for the application of the proposed Soil Remediation Standards. NJDEP is considering these proposed methodologies for delineation, compliance and related issues through publication in separate rule making and, or guidance. In this program the latest insights will be presented by NJDEP as well as consultants who have expert level knowledge in these areas. And to ensure that all attendees understand the full potential implications of the proposed Soil Remediation Standards, a legal overview of the rule proposal will be presented. This will include discussion of the likely implications of the legislatively mandated Order of Magnitude re-opener requirements.
Here's a sample of what you'll learn:
• Latest status on the rule adoption process for the proposed Soil Remediation Standards and related guidance and possible revisions to the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation.
• Insight into potential revisions or modifications to the proposed Soil Remediation Standard regulations that are being evaluated by NJDEP.
• A legal review of the potential implications of adoption of the proposed Soil Remediation Standards on transactional due diligence including the Order of Magnitude Re-opener.
• In depth presentations by NJDEP for each of the major exposure pathways including Ingestion/ dermal contact; inhalation and Impact to Ground Water.
• Technical presentations regarding new procedures and methodologies required including to address the inhalation pathway and the impact to groundwater pathway.
• Expert insight into potential scientific and technical approaches to apply and demonstrate compliance with the proposed Soil Remediation standards.
• In just one day, you'll get the information you need to understand the latest developments and insights of this proposed rulemaking.
