In September 1991, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) enacted the Discharges of Petroleum and Other Hazardous Substances (DPHS) rules (N.J.A.C. 7:1E et seg). These rules require all major facilities in New Jersey to prepare and submit Discharge Prevention Containment and Countermeasure (DPCC) plans and Discharge Cleanup and Removal (DCR) plans. The DPHS rules were reissued with amendments in March 2007. This one-day workshop will provide guidance to prepare, submit and secure approval of your DPCC/DCR plans, as well as, what is required to be in compliance with the rules’ technical standards.
