Full Course Description

You will begin with a review of wetland delineation including the latest hydric soil indicators, additional indicators for determining hydrophytic vegetation and wetland hydrology. Using collected data from supplements to the Army Corps of Engineers wetland delineation manual and national standards for installing and monitoring shallow-water wells, you will delineate wetlands in areas where wetlands have been drained to an unknown degree. Wetland delineation exercises will be conducted in both North Jersey (day one) and South Jersey (day two). Overall, you will learn more about current practices and gain more practical experience in wetland delineation.
