Radon Measurement Course Description

Do you want to become an NRPP certified Radon Measurement Professional? This two-day instructor-led webinar will prepare you for the Radon Measurement Professional exam using the new NRPP standards.

This class is NOT for people seeking certification in New Jersey. New Jersey is still using the old standards. If you're planning to take the NJ exam, the class you need is the Radon Measurement Proficiency Class for NJ.

From radon science basics to certification test preparation, our Radon Measurement Professional course is your best introduction to the why, how, and when of measuring radon gas. In addition to learning the science of radon, this course will prepare you to sit for the NRPP national radon measurement certification exam.

In this 2-day online radon measurement class, you will learn:

  • About selection, placement, and set up/operation of radon measurement devices
  • How to calculate radon levels and conduct quality assurance tests to ensure accurate results
  • How to make mitigation referrals for your customers if radon exceeds dangerous levels

Topics covered in the Radon Measurement course include:

  • Radioactive decay
  • Types of radiation
  • Health risks associated with radon
  • How radon enters and moves through buildings
  • Radon measurement devices

NOTE: This class is only approved for people seeking NRPP certification or NRPP continuing education credits. If you want to become certified in NJ, you need to take the NJ certification class: Radon Measurement Proficiency Class for NJ.
