This workshop teaches participants the powerful features of Microsoft Pivot tables. Pivot tables allow you to sort, filter, group, count, summate, and format data easily and efficiently. This online class is instructor-led, so you can ask any questions you may have as you work through the lessons. Plus, the online format gives you the opportunity to practice the skills you learn firsthand on your own computer.
Participants will learn how to:
- Use one or more tables
- Drill down
- Refresh Pivot data
- Sort data
- Group and filter data
- Add calculated fields and items
- Use slicers
- Place subtotals and grand totals
- Apply layouts and styles
Students will work heavily on hands-on activities with an instructor to explore the variety of features within Pivot Tables and tackle different scenarios for when to use them.
Our pivot table training builds off of topics contained in our Excel Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 courses. We highly recommend that students complete prior levels of Excel to receive a general overview before delving deep into pivot tables.
Note: Most of the skills taught in this class are applicable to 2010, 2013 and 2016 versions of Excel. Windows operating system is used for instruction in all Microsoft Office workshops.
Prerequisite: Microsoft Office Excel Level 4 training required
