Proper Planting Techniques

The replacement of failed landscape trees and shrubs can be costly, however, the proper planting will reduce the risk of failure of the plants in the future. Things such as digging the proper whole, protecting the rootball, and watering all contribute to the health and the longevity of plants after being put in the landscape. Healthy trees and shrubs, growing vigorously are more tolerant to landscape pests and are more aesthetically pleasing to the owner. This course will cover the selection of quality plants, proper management and planting of plants in the landscape, as well as, proper site preparation to insure that the plants not only survive, but also thrive in their new home.
