| Course Overview |
Irrigation systems serve a vital purpose in any landscape or field environment, and the ability to create and install one is an important and valuable skill to have. In this four-day, hands-on course, you will learn how to design and install irrigation systems through practical and inexpensive techniques that factor important physical site features into the equation.
This course will help you with, but is not designed to prepare you for, the New Jersey Irrigation Certification Exam.

Full Course Description
Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, instructor Bob Dobson will teach you how to design and install irrigation systems in a variety of environments, by determining pressures and velocities of your plans. These are just a few of the topics you’ll learn about: planning & designing a system, installation options, equalizing zones, properties of water, water pressure, flow rates, scheduling & water conservation as well business management and cost estimating.
Bob encourages participation and will allow ample time for questions, so come prepared to ask them! If this is something you want to add to your service menu, take our class to learn the fundamentals of designing and installing an irrigation system.

Faculty
Bob Dobson
Bob is a certified residential, commercial, and golf course irrigation designer, as well as a certified irrigation contractor. He has run his own irrigation firm, Middletown Sprinkler Company, since 1968 and helped draft the 1990 legislation requiring certification for irrigation professionals. Former chairman of the certification board and head of a multi-million dollar company, Bob brings to the classroom a wealth of real world experience and practical knowledge along with a passion for teaching that is second to none.
