Description

Horticulturist Bruce Neary shares his expertise concerning the care of ornamental plants. He'll discuss the most modern methods of managing horticulture on commercial and residential sites. You'll learn to put the right plant in the right place.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Proper pruning times and techniques;
  • Building better beds;
  • Soil testing;
  • Soil compaction;
  • Giving advice to customers;
  • And more.

Interested in earning a Landscape Certificate?
This is a a required course for the Rutgers Landscape Management Certificate program.

The December 18, 2017 offering of this course was approved for the following credits. We will reapply for similar credits the next time the course runs, but we cannot guarantee credit approval for future offerings.

NOTE: Individuals who wish to receive pesticide recertification credits at any of our courses will need to know their applicator license number. Please bring your pesticide license with you to class.
