In this two-day online class, Licensed Tree Expert Ted Szczawinski will share a wealth of information about how to positively identify plants, trees, and shrubs. You'll learn to unlock clues found in the bark, fruit, leaves, flowers, and more! You'll learn a step-by-step method that limits endless memorizing!

This course is offered online within the Canvas learning management system.

Equipment you will need to access this training:

  • A computer, tablet, or smartphone
  • Microphone is necessary if you'd like to ask questions.
  • Webcam is optional but not necessary
  • Speaker is optional but not necessary (you will be able to listen to the presentation by dialing in on your phone if your computer does not have a speaker)

Please note that you will be prompted to upload a picture of yourself holding your government-issued photo ID before you begin the course. The photo must be clear enough that we can read the name and verify that the person pictured on the ID is in fact the person holding it. You will receive a reminder email prior to the start of the class with further instructions.
