Description

A hanging basket with cascading vines of pathos leaves is a wonderful way to create a welcoming atmosphere in your home. Likewise, a chunky jade plant cheerfully sitting on your office windowsill can go a long way to brighten your workday. Indoor plants are vibrant, living decorations that also work to purify the air we breathe, improve our health, and decrease stress. Simply put, greenery enhances our lives.

Learn how to provide your house plants with a healthy environment and the correct amount of water and nutrients in Rutgers Home Gardeners School @Home Edition's one-hour House Plants: Bringing the Garden Inside Online Course.

Instructor Bruce Crawford will discuss over 20 indoor plants and their cultural needs to ensure that they will live long and healthy lives in your home or office.

Topics include:

  • Proper container selection
  • Soil considerations
  • Up-potting and dividing plants
  • Sunlight requirements
  • Plant nutrients
  • Design considerations
  • Pest management

Plus, you'll leave with an extensive list of plants that will tolerate, even enjoy an indoor environment. Green thumb or not, learn how to make your living room or office feel like a walk in the park. Register today!
