Description

One of the most beneficial horticulture maintenance practices, pruning can also be one of the most harmful things you can do to your garden or landscaping. If you are interested in learning how to properly snip and clip to foster healthy and attractive backyard flowers and foliage, attend Rutgers Home Gardeners School @Home Edition online course: Pruning – Not a Mysterious Art.

Instructor Bruce Crawford will cover the why, when, and how’s of pruning ornamental trees and shrubs.  Learn how to control size while enhancing flowering or fruiting.  Understand potential hazards and how they can be avoided through proper pruning. Timing will also be covered. You can remove dead, diseased, or broken branches as soon as you notice them, but scientifically backed guidelines can make a huge difference when it comes to pruning for shape or size. Learn the best times of year to prune, the tools of the trade, and how to make heading, thinning, and shearing cuts.

In just one short hour, learn the essentials of proper pruning and tons of expert tips. Before you start hacking away at your branches or boxwoods, sharpen your pruning skills. Register Today!
