This apiculture course includes training on a number of important topics related to beekeeping, including assembling hives and opening and examining colonies. From disease and mite prevention and hive management to honey production, this class will cover everything you need to know to further your hobby or get your business off the ground!
NOTE: In order to reserve your bees for the upcoming season, please contact your supplier as early as possible. A "Honey Bee Suppliers" list and a "Glossary of Terms" will be sent to you with your confirmation upon registering for this class.

Meet Your Bee-ginner's Beekeeping Course Instructor
Mike Haberland is an associate professor and County Environmental Agent with Rutgers University Cooperative Extension. He uses applied research and collaborates with organizations to develop programs that assist in the creation, promotion, and education, of innovative environmental, sustainable community, and natural resource management practices. Mike uses beekeeping and the creation of native pollinator habitat for research and as a way to educate the public on the importance of pollinators.
