If you have an interest in animals or animal science, especially lab animals, then this is the course for you. You may be working in a laboratory with animals already or you may want to prepare for an animal science career where you will need to know how to care for animals, as well as use them for research but you don't need to ben an animal science major to take this class. Dr. Larry Katz, of the Rutgers SEBS Department of Animal Science on Cook Campus, has been teaching this semester-long class for 11 years to enthusiastic reviews by his students. Each year he extends the opportunity for a limited number of continuing education students to participate in the class through the Rutgers Office of Continuing Professional Education.
