Better Process Control School Certification Course

Better Process Control School

Comply with FDA/USDA regulations while advancing your food processing knowledge!

Who should attend:

  • Supervisors, quality control technicians, line workers involved in retort operations, aseptic processing and packaging system operators, and container closure inspectors at facilities that produce or handle low-acid and acidified canned foods
  • Mid-level managers and employees of food processing plants that utilize thermal processing

What you get:

  • Expert instruction on key concepts such as thermal processing system operations, microbiological food safety, equipment operations, and acidification and container closure evaluation programs for low acid and acidified canned foods.
  • Participants who meet the course requirements become BPCS certified and receive a certificate of training from Rutgers University.

Program Requirements:

  • The Rutgers University Better Process Control School is approved by the FDA and follows the prescribed course of instruction for certification. After each section of the course is taught, students immediately take the related exam while the information is still fresh in their minds. Scores are provided before the next exam begins.
  • To successfully complete the course, participants must attend all three days and pass the exams with a score of 70% or higher.

Certified Recycling Professional Program

CRP: Certified Recycling Professional

You’ll never look at trash the same way again!

Who should attend:

  • Attendees come from all walks of life, from foremen and secretaries to administrators and carpenters

  • A solid foundation in how to develop, implement, maintain, promote and track a fiscally sound and successful recycling program.
  • The Certified Recycling Professional (CRP) credential

Program Requirements:

  • To earn the certificate you must complete a series of 9 courses (over a period of 21 days) and all related proficiency requirements.
  • Once certified, CRPs must complete 20 hours of continuing education over a 2 year period.

Flood Hazard Area Certificate Program

 

Flood Hazard Area Certificate Program
This three-day interactive program is intended to cover all aspects of New Jersey's flood hazard area program, from basic concepts, such as what is a flood hazard area and riparian zone, to complex engineering and environmental issues.

Who should attend:

This three-day certification program is recommended for professionals who prepare and/or review flood hazard area applications, including:

  • Consulting engineers
  • Environmental consultants
  • Government officials
  • Code officials
  • Builders
  • Planners
  • Attorneys

What you get:

  • Three full-day courses covering an overview of the Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules, the Engineering Standards, and the Environmental Standards
  • The opportunity to learn directly from NJDEP instructors, including Vince Mazzei, PE, the author of these rules
  • Details of the 2015 proposal to amend the flood hazard area rules will also be discussed.

Day 1 will provide an overview of the FHACA Rules, including basic permitting requirements and guidance on how to successfully obtain flood hazard area approvals. Day 2 will focus on engineering design standards, and Day 3 will focus on environmental issues. Various case studies will be discussed on Day 2 and 3.

HACCP Plan Development for Food Processors

Discover the basic concepts of HACCP and how to develop a plan for your company!

Wetland Delineation Certificate DOL One Stop Approved
Learn the steps to identify and delineate a wetland in only 6 days.
