The goal of the workshop is to build the capacity of participants to find the story in their water quality data and develop strategies for communicating those stories to their local community. Using a virtual workshop, participants will be introduced to simple statistical measures that will help condense the amount of data to analyze and make developing water quality conclusions less arduous. Participants will also be exposed to effective communication strategies and will leave the workshop understanding how to tailor outreach materials and presentations for their target audiences.
Topics include:
- Water Quality Criteria Exercises
- Analyzing Raw Data
- Analyzing Data with Statistical Summaries
- Parameters and Trends
- Big Picture Analysis
- Graphs and Maps
- Poster Analysis
- Case Study Scenarios
